Warranty & returns
Most mattress warranties sound generous and are narrower than people assume. Here's what ours actually covers, what quietly voids it, and what happens if the bed turns out to be wrong for you.
What the manufacturer warranty covers
Manufacturing defects: coils that break through, seams that split, foam that degrades abnormally. Typically ten years on mid-range and above, prorated on some lines.
What it does not cover
- Comfort. Deciding you'd rather have something softer isn't a defect. That's what the comfort exchange below is for.
- Normal wear. A body impression only counts once it exceeds the stated depth, usually 1.5 inches measured with nothing on the bed.
- Stains. Any stain, anywhere, voids coverage entirely on almost every line sold in Canada. This is why we push protectors.
- Inadequate support. Slats more than 3 inches apart, or a queen and larger with no centre leg. Photograph your frame before delivery if you're unsure.
- A removed law tag. Leave it on.
Comfort exchange
The policy you're actually likely to use. On most models you have 30 days for a one-time comfort swap: you pay the price difference and a redelivery fee, and the mattress must be clean and unstained. Ask us to write the exact window, cost and eligibility onto your invoice before you pay — not after.
Furniture
Frames and mechanisms carry the manufacturer's warranty against defects. Fabric wear, pet damage and assembly by a third party aren't covered. Inspect on delivery and tell the driver immediately if something arrived damaged — that's far easier to resolve than a call three weeks later.
How to make a claim
Call (587) 837-2525 or email info@mattressvilla.ca with your invoice number, photos, and a measurement of the impression if that's the issue. We handle the manufacturer side; you don't have to chase them.
